Choosing the Best Garlic Press
On December 28, 2021 by FlorenceIf you’re a fan of garlic but you don’t enjoy having to continuously reach for it to use as a kitchen tool, then you might want to consider purchasing a Garlic Press. The garlic press is a simple device that allows you to press your garlic cloves into a fine mesh for easy removal. It also helps to promote the growth of all the natural ingredients that garlic contains.
- Imagine having a large vessel full of garlic cloves in your kitchen, right from the time you peel them. Yes, you read that right: You do not have to clean out the garlic cloves before using just putting it in a garlic pressing machine. The peel will separate from the clove in the large chamber and you can continue pressing while cleaning it without constantly removing it from the mesh.
- If you are planning to buy a garlic press, you would probably notice that they come with different sizes and models. There are also those with interchangeable handles. This is a good thing because it allows you to easily determine which model is best suited for your needs. What is important here is that the handle should be able to provide enough leverage so that you can easily move the large garlic clove without exerting too much force on the handles. This is particularly important because you don’t want to damage the garlic clove through lifting or jerking it away from the handles.
- When it comes to choosing a model, consider purchasing a knife that has similar features to the garlic press such as a cutting board, knife holder and knife guard. The knife should also have safety lock features such as a thumb guard. These things are very important especially if you’re a novice at chopping or if you’ve undergone any serious knife wounds in the past.
- One of the main benefits of owning a garlic press is being able to save time because all you have to do is simply use the garlic clove and turn on the power. After about five to ten minutes, the clove will be chopped into small pieces. Then all you have to do is transfer the pieces to a small strainer lined with paper towel and then let them steep for another five minutes. After that, remove the leaves and after the second rinse, your garlic will be ready for cooking.
There are other types of garlic presses available for sale in the market today. For example, there are those that are made using glass rods with adjustable heights for rolling and peeling. If you are interested in saving more money, you may want to purchase a double-sided cutter. These cutting boards can help you cut both sides of your garlic without having to strain too much.
